2024-12-03

The Integration of 5G + Industrial Internet Applications: Pilot City Development Launched. The China 5G + Industrial Internet Conference was held in Wuhan from November 19 to 21, 2024. With the theme "Data Integration, Leading Intelligent Manufacturing," the conference focused on key areas such as industrial internet applications, artificial intelligence, intelligent connected vehicles, and the low-altitude economy, facilitating discussions and unveiling significant achievements.

During the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the official launch of pilot city development to integrate 5G + Industrial Internet applications. The first batch of pilot cities includes Wuhan, Nanjing, Qingdao, and seven others. They aim to create nationally and regionally leading "5G + Industrial Internet" industry clusters and innovative ecosystems, driving large-scale adoption of 5G + Industrial Internet solutions.

The conference brought together ecosystem partners from across the "5G + Industrial Internet" industry value chain. Numerous companies showcased their latest practices in artificial intelligence and mobile communication solutions to the attendees.

The high speed, low latency, and massive connectivity of 5G provide a robust network foundation for the industrial internet, enabling operators to play a deeper role in the digital transformation of industrial enterprises. Tailored 5G private network solutions are being developed to meet the unique network requirements of different enterprises across production, logistics management, and equipment monitoring, among other areas.

As a provider of video artificial intelligence solutions, Xingtu Xinke leverages its core technologies and expertise accumulated in the defense sector to collaborate with major operators and other enterprises actively. The company addresses challenges in large-scale video data processing by enabling efficient transmission and lightweight storage, reducing computing power costs, and empowering the seamless integration of 5G infrastructure with industrial internet applications.

For instance, during the Yangtze River Fireworks Show live-streamed nationwide via the Iron Tower Vision platform, Xingtu Xinke facilitated the ultra-low bandwidth transmission of 4K ultra-high-definition video at just 2 Mbps using its advanced video compression technology. Additionally, the company’s solutions have enhanced video storage efficiency for an operator's data center, extending the storage period for large-scale video data from 30 days to 90 days.
